The Saltwater Freshwater Festival is back this January — and it’s set to be one of our most vibrant celebrations yet. With the site locked in and preparations underway, audiences can look forward to a full day of culture, creativity, and community on Gumbaynggirr Country.

This much-loved festival brings together First Nations excellence across music, dance, art, culture, and food. Visitors can expect a lively program of performances on the main stage, hands-on cultural workshops, weaving and carving demonstrations, children’s activities, local market stalls, and a curated food precinct showcasing Aboriginal-owned businesses and regional flavours.

The Saltwater Freshwater Festival is a gold coin donation, family-friendly event open to everyone. Whether you’re joining us to celebrate culture, enjoy world-class entertainment, support local creators, or simply soak up the atmosphere, all are welcome.
