Stronger Together — The Heart Behind the Festival

The Saltwater Freshwater Festival is powered by people — passionate, creative, and deeply connected to Country. Leading the way is our Festival Committee, a dedicated group of cultural leaders and community representatives who help shape the vision and spirit of the event.

Working alongside them is the Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance team, together with our Alliance Partners — the 10 Local Aboriginal Land Councils representing the Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Biripi, and Worimi Nations. Their collaboration ensures the festival celebrates and strengthens living culture across the Mid North Coast.

The festival also comes to life thanks to our incredible volunteers, the Good Crew, and a network of contractors, artists, and event specialists who bring their expertise, energy, and heart to every part of the celebration — from staging and logistics to cultural programming, accessibility, and community engagement.
